Dear Customers in Germany, Austria, Swiss and Hungary:

To introduce you to Croatia, we wrote a little column about Croatia and its wonderful coasts.

As you most likely know, Croatia is a neighbour to Hungary(north), Slowenia(northwest), Serbia(east), Bosnia(east/southeast) and Montenegro(south).

West of croatia you will find the miles of beautiful coasts to the adriadic sea.

Croatia is divided into the following regions: Istria, Kvarner, Central-Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatica.

The biggest and most beautiful citys and islands of Croatia are: Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, Split, Zadar, Sibenik, Dubrovnik and the islands Krk, Rab, Lošinj, Hvar, Korčula, Brač, Mljet and many more.

The lenght of the Croatian main land coast including the coasts of all the islands are close to 6000 km (about 4000 miles).

Croatia has 1.246 islands with 47 of them inhabited. The main land has 4.500.000 inhabitants and has a square footage of 56.592km².

The currency is called "Kuna" and 1€ is about 7.2kn.

Water quality:

The water quality in Croatia is excellent. The ADAC (a german automobile club) tested the beaches as well as the water. Croatia was chosen as the europewide winner because of the most beaches with perfect water quality and cleanliness of the beaches.

Histroical:

Croatia is indipendent since the 25. of June in 1991 and every 5th of August they celebrate to remember of that day.

Culture and Turism:

The Capitol Zagreb has historical as well as modern aspects. The arcitectual style in the north and northeast of the country was formed by influences of Hungary and Austria and is called baroque. The rennaissance influenced the region in the north and nortwest and south. This style was brought to Istria, the Kvarner coast and Dalmatia through the military sea force from Venecia.

The music, played by an instrument called "Mandolin" and sung by a male choir, spreads the feeling and the cosiness cosiness of the croatians.

Croatia has 8 national parks and 10 parks under nature conservancy where movies like "Winnetou" were filmed.

In total there are more than 500 areas under nature conservancy.

10 percent of the landmass are under special protection and including the protected sea areas they make up 6.129km². Those areas are untouched waterfalls, forests, or coast regions. The rich mediterran vegetation, the untouched nature as well as the romantic beaches are the right place for those who seek for recreation and those who want to experience the culture and the many sightseeing places of Croatia.

We hope this introduction to Croatia gave you a slight idea about the country and will make you want to find out more about the sea and Croatia itself.

Respectfully  your team from "H&H Kroatien Immobilien GdbR"
